I was tasked by Coffee Bar, a quaint coffee chain in San Francisco renowned for their locally roasted hand-crafted coffee, to elevate their online presence with a modern and dynamic design. I infused the site with lively text animations and custom, interactive backgrounds to bring the site to life. Additionally, I streamlined the site's architecture and navigation to enhance the user experience, creating a digital reflection of the smooth and seamless coffee experience Coffee Bar is known for.

As the web designer for Yellow Athletic's international e-commerce platform, I was tasked with launching their new line of CBD products. The project presented several challenges, including designing for two distinct platforms and navigating the complex regulations surrounding CBD sales. However, I was able to rise to the occasion and deliver a sophisticated and user-friendly site. In addition to web design, I also contributed to Yellow Athletic's marketing efforts by creating visually appealing social media campaigns, Google ads, packaging materials, and more.

Website Redesign

I was approached by one of Berkeley's longest-standing Boy Scout troops to refresh their website and empower the Scouts to take control of its maintenance. I collaborated closely with the troop's members and leaders to develop a sleek and contemporary websiteTo further support the troop, I established a drop-shipping shop that would generate passive income for them. Upon completion, I took the time to instruct several Scouts and parents on how to manage and update the website, ensuring the troop's online presence would remain strong for years to come.

When East Bay handyman Clifford set out to expand his business, he sought my expertise in creating his brand and online presence. I worked closely with him to create a custom logo that effectively reflected his brand. Together, we devised the concept of "bespoke construction," which showcases his unique and personalized approach to his work. Clifford desired a minimalist and visually striking website that would appeal to discerning clients, and I took great pleasure in delivering exactly that.

This website was a deeply personal project, crafted for my father, a talented composer who had been diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer's disease. The effort to preserve his music was already underway when news of the project gained international attention. It was a privilege to be able to create a lasting legacy not only for my father's music, but also for his story. This website serves as a tribute to his life's work and will ensure that his music and memory endure for generations to come.

Sometimes, I'm inspired by a website I come across to imagine how I would do it differently if I were to redesign the site. I happened to have a few hours free when I came across this website, so I went ahead and redesigned it. I liked the logo and black background of the original site, but wanted to give it a fresher, cleaner look and feel that also featured dynamic engagement. My additional goal was to make the navigation more intuitive and visual. I accomplished this by using large photos and videos that clearly guide the user to exactly what they were looking for.

Another personal project, this website engaged all of my skills. As a fundraiser for Nova Ukraine, a group of friends and I gathered to learn the technique of making pysanky, a Ukrainian folk art. In addition to creating a few pysanky, I photographed the processs, designed the logo, photographed each pysanka, created the website, and set up an online auction for each individual egg. Happily, we exceeded our goal and raised $5292.50, every penny of which went directly to Nova Ukraine's humanitarian aide efforts in Ukraine.
